| A Shadekin's core is a special organ that can only exist in Shadekin. In normal Shadekin, the core is simply a vestigial organ with no functionality. In a Brighteyes, however, the core is fully realized and is what grants them their abilities. Removing an undamaged core deprives a Brighteyes of their abilities and their ability to return to the Dark, while implanting an undamaged core into a regular Shadekin grants them a lesser version of the Brighteyes' abilities. There is otherwise no negative effect to removing the core in a normal Shadekin.
